THE 10th ANNIVERSARY BROOKLYN HIP-HOP FESTIVAL
ART DIRECTION, PRINT & DIGITAL
SUMMER 2014
The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival was an annual celebration of Hip-Hop music and culture. It is produced The Bodega Agency, a wholly owned subsidiary of Brooklyn Bodega, Inc. In 2004, the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival celebrated it’s 10th anniversary and in addition to it’s already star-studded headline, it featured surprise guests such as Mac Miller, J Cole and Jay-Z. wikipedia
INSPIRATION
Key inspirations were the iconic 70s poster for Pentagram, photoshop overlaying effects and the Q train. Personally, seeing the yellow and black symbol was always symbolic for the journey home.
THE FESTIVAL
Collateral for the festival included an app, digital and social assets, printed posters and flyers, t-shirts, and even collateral for the stage. From fly-bys, on-stage banners to ticket stubs and maps, everything was designed in a coherent and unified identity.
